Proctors is known for the quality of its Broadway shows, with amazing talent just bursting through in every moment—but those actors and actresses had to start somewhere, and most often they started off learning from professional actors!

In Discover Drama, high school students will have the opportunity to learn the tools of the trade from professional actors. They’ll work with other students, learning theatre games, warm up and rehearsal techniques; they’ll hone their improv skills, practice monologues, work on scenes and gain valuable skills and tools to use in future shows and classes.

Discover Drama is open to all students in high school (grades 9-12) but preference is given to students with some prior experience in theatre.

Please note: while Proctors presents Broadway musicals, the focus of the program will not be musical theatre, but general theatrical acting, which is applicable to musical theatre.

Classes: Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:30 at Proctors.
Tuition: $200 per student/ten-week session
