Kevin McGuire has played lead roles on Broadway, National and International tours of Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Jane Eyre and starred as Uncle Archie in The National Company of The Secret Garden, traveling 80,000 miles to 69 cities all over the world. The production received nods from Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson, Washington’s Helen Hayes, Los Angeles Drama Critics and Carbonell awards.
Other New York credits include original cast of Forbidden Broadway, and John B. Keane’s Big Maggie, Horatio in Hamlet at the Classic Stage Company, The Seagull, Paul Selig’s Body Parts, Gerald Gutierrez’s production of Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Mark Lamos’ The Gilded Age, and Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet on tour for The New York Shakespeare Festival.
Regional credits include, Hartford Stage Company, Arizona Theatre Company, Theatre Factory St. Louis as George in Sunday in the Park with George (Drama Critics Award), three summers at The Williamstown Theatre Festival appearing in over thirty productions, and on tour for two seasons with the highly acclaimed John Houseman’s The Acting Company.
Having grown up in Troy, Adam is more than excited to return to the Capital Region to usher in the next generation of talent. After attending Berklee College of Music, majoring in film scoring and piano, he has been involved in over 70 musicals of all ranges, most recently the national tour of Lincoln Center’s South Pacific.
Favorite credits include; Annie (Nat’l Tour ’08-‐’10) A Chorus Line (Nat’l Tour ’11), Man Of LaMancha (Capital Rep in Albany), and The Drowsy Chaperone (Surflight Theatre, NJ), all of which he served as Music Director/Conductor. Film: “I Do & I Don’t” (Original Score/Conductor). He has been an audition accompanist for several Broadway shows, has helped in casting for dozens of productions, and in his spare time fancies himself a pop and country songwriter.
