Artful Educator Award
Proctors celebrates teachers committed to integrating arts into their classroom with the Artful Educator Award given during the annual Teacher Appreciation gala on stage each spring. Enjoy a dinner on The Mainstage at Proctors and mingle with fellow associates who have participated in Proctors Arts Education Programs. The recipient of this award is honored from Proctors Stage and receives two complimentary tickets to a Proctors evening performance and a special gift from Proctors Education. Look for invitations in the Spring!
The Mary Ann Lommel Scholarship
Mary Ann Lommel retired after over 25 years as Head of the Volunteer Ushers. Her support of the theatre and for Arts in Education continues through a scholarship fund designed to provide selected classrooms with tickets to Proctors School Day performances. Emphasizing the importance of students coming to the theatre at a young age, this fund gives schools that do not attend Proctors School Day Performances the opportunity to introduce their students to theatre and the performing arts as tools for learning.

The Paul Hooker Choral Scholarship Fund
The Paul Hooker Choral Scholarship Fund at Proctors grants tickets to selected students for a choral performance at Proctors. In recognition of Paul Hooker’s 25 years of volunteer bartender leadership at Proctors and his singing in many area choral groups, the fund places an emphasis on the importance of nurturing a love for choral music by allowing selected high school chorus students in Schenectady County to attend a choral performance at the Theatre. Participating students will be chosen based on their desire to attend, their love of performance, and their contributions to their group.
