A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, songs and stories that went into the making the iconic albums from the 60’s and 70’s that Rochmon loves. The Rochmon Record Club has been doing shows in the capital region for over 2 years. Every Listening Party begins with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. Every show features hundreds of pictures, occasionally some video, all the songs from the album and great “stuff” that Chuck thinks is cool!
About the Album
Released 51 years ago on May 26, 1967, The Beatles released their 8th studio album, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” as their response to “Beatlemania” which made it impossible for The Beatles to play live shows. “Sgt Pepper” released to accolades from fans and critics alike, continues to be a vital and influential album which often tops Rock & Roll “Best of Lists” the world over. Giles Martin, the son of George Martin, re-engineered “Sgt Pepper” for a 2017 reissue which sounds fantastic. We’ll listen to the album on the Addy’s state of the art sound system. Join us for some great stories, wonderful images and an awesome album! “A good time will be had by all!”
