Performance July 11th 3pm on the Mainstage at Proctors
Leap, turn, and chasse across the Mainstage at Proctors! Spend the week studying classical jazz dance technique and choreography. This program is designed to accommodate all skill levels. The week includes daily technique classes, group discussions, choreography workshops and a final performance.

Instructor's Bio:
Sheila Backowski graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance from Marymount Manhattan College in 2001. During her undergraduate work at Marymount, she studied the techniques of Graham, Limon, and Horton modern dance in addition to ballet, tap, and jazz. Teachers she has studied under include Finis Jhung, Katie Langan, Elena Commendadore, and Joyce Herring. Sheila is NYS certified in Dance K-12 and taught ballet, tap, jazz, and dance composition at the Sayles School of Fine Arts at Schenectady High School in Schenectady, New York from 2003 to 2007.
