Make music with Clogs! (The band, not the shoes…)
Just back from Sydney, Australia, Clogs is offering a fun and participatory workshop for musicians and music-lovers of all ages. Please join us at Proctors Theater for a special afternoon of music and activities.
- Meet the musicians and enjoy live music in an informal setting
- What’s a mandola? That’s a bassoon?! Get to know the craft behind the music, including the instruments, form, improvisation
- Participate! Discover the joy of group music making with Clogs and friends
From the mathematically interlocking cross-rhythms in 2 : 3 : 5 to the exotic creatures in Cocrodillo (based on Lady Walton’s famous gardens in Italy), you’ll gain insights into the process behind the music. Clogs will facilitate a one-of-a-kind, improvised, participant-driven, cross-disciplinary piece. To achieve this feat, we need your assistance!
If you play an instrument, bring it along to the workshop.
If you sing, come to the workshop.
If you dance, interpret the music at the workshop.
If you clap or hum or tap, come to the workshop.
This workshop is FREE. Call 382-3884 x127 to register now.
