Hot Peas ‘N Butter, a unique children’s musical group founded on the premise that you can reach kids through music without lowering musical standards, was created in 2000 by Danny Lapidus and Francisco Cotto, both professional musicians in New York City.
Danny and Francisco melded their two eclectic styles, incorporating elements of Afro-Caribbean rhythms, jazz, R&B, folk, and rock to become Hot Peas ‘N Butter. By combining an interactive, invigorating approach to performance with mature, multicultural music, Hot Peas ‘N Butter has developed a distinct way of inspiring care and creativity in kids and adults alike.
