C. Ryder Cooley - XMALIA, featuring Lady Moon & Carl Hackert on Goldie
Mainstage - 7-8:15pm
A beautiful woman eerily floating through the air with ease, GIANT projections and mesmerizing, mind moving music. XMALIA, a multi-media performance by C. Ryder Cooley, features songs about extinct animals such as the Tasmanian Tiger, the Pyrenean Ibex the Xerces Butterfly as well as the Dodo brought back to life in an avant cabaret - trapeze act.
This entertaining tragedy is hosted by a lonely mortician, who summons the animals back to life for her Graveyard Cabaret. Performed with taxidermy animals, aerial movement, mesmerizing video and bitter-sweet songs on ukulele and singing saw. The performance will also feature the sweet voice of Lady Moon and grand accompaniment by Carl Hackert on Goldie.
The evening will also feature an evocative portrait in dance, REBIRTH by the Northeast Ballet Company, under the direction of Darlene Myers.
