Avner the Eccentric… Exceptions to Gravity is a reminder of the theatrical power that can reside in a single charismatic performer who touches the heart. A master of the art of physical comedy, Avner weaves a spell of poetic simplicity in a show of hilarious predicaments. Avner has appeared on and off Broadway with his hit show Exceptions to Gravity, which defies the barriers of language and culture and has toured extensively all over the US and abroad.

Hailed as one of the greatest clowns of all time, Avner Eisenberg is probably best known for his endearing portrayal of The Jewel, the scene-stealing holy man, in The Jewel of the Nile, co-starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

He performed as a ventriloquist on Broadway in Ghetto, where his dummy was later nominated for a Tony Award®. Avner has performed at The Edinburgh Festival, where he won the New Faces of 1991 Award, was a finalist for the Perrier Award, and has performed at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. In 2002, Avner was inducted into the International Clown Hall of Fame.
