Evil Dead the Musical

Outrageous fun, ridiculously funny, bloody awesome and WTF?!

That's what theatregoers from NYC to Toronto to Las Vegas have been saying after seeing Evil Dead - The Musical.

The record-breaking musical comedy sensation takes all the elements of Sam Raimi’s cult classic films -- Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness -- then combines them to make one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time...and it's also the only musical in the world where audiences can sit in a “Splatter Zone!” and get drenched from the onstage mayhem.

Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's all up to our hero, Ash, and his trusty chainsaw to save the day.

The show was first staged at a Toronto nightclub in 2003 where it gained a huge cult following. With all the enthusiastic attention the show was receiving, other cities became interested in Evil Dead - The Musical, and the following year it was showcased as a featured attraction at Montreal’s famous “Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.” That led to its celebrated 2006-2007 run Off-Broadway and subsequently more than 150 productions around the world. It has been performed close to 400 times in Toronto, both in 2007 and in 2013, winning the Audience Choice Dora Award in 2007 as Toronto’s Favorite Show.
