It Came From Schenectady presents
If you’re a Lolita, Goth, cosplayer, or simply a fan of frilly and/or moto-butch fashions, join us June 9th for our slightly tardy celebration of the previous weekend’s International Lolita Day via a screening of the Punk/Rococo girl gang classic, KAMIKAZE GIRLS.  Lovely Momoko, entirely smitten with elaborate Lolita dresses from the Rococo period of 18th Century France, is a fashionable fish-out-of-water in her rural sleepy town, where everyone buys their clothes - and pretty much everything else - at the same boring generic box store.  Absolutely no one understands her love of frilly treats, sugary sweets, embroidery bonnets, and baby-doll dresses… especially not the equally self-styled 'Yanki' greaser outcast, Ichiko.  Still, perhaps their shared fringe existence is precisely what unites them.  Or maybe it’s Ichiko’s snarling motorbike!  In Japanese w/English subtitles.  102 minutes.  Rated PG-13.
Friday, June 9 at 7pm

Tickets $9 Adults;  $6 Students w/ID (and the appropriately costumed!)
