Founded in 1967, The Eighth Step enters its 43rd season!

Four of our finest performers create an evening of warmth and harmony for a grand celebration of  Winter Solstice, the longest, darkest night of the year. The new day will welcome the Season of Light that is Hannukuh, Christmas, Yule, Kwanzaa, and many more major celebrations throughout world cultures. All are traced back to the waning of sunlight in the natural world, and the dawning of brighter days that lead us back to Spring, fertility and new growth--it's the dawn of possibility.

Guests: Afro-Cuban drummer Ade Knowles & Ensemble Congeros (Afro-Cuban percussion); Pokingbrook Morris Dancers; more--100% powered by wind, from sound to stage lighting!

Both successful duos in their own right, Magpie (Terry Leonino & Greg Artzner) and Kim & Reggie Harris weave a magical spell with songs of many cultures sung in rich, close harmonies with guitar, harmonica, dulcimer, percussion and more.
