“Tom Rush roams - wild and free – a vast musical territory. He is very good"   THE WASHINGTON POST
" Evocative … sensitive … imaginative … gorgeous … breathtaking …compelling. The music cast[s] an intimate spell"  BOSTON GLOBE
"His tour-de-force performance featured his own signature song “No Regrets” from early in his career as Boston’s best voice of the ’60s folk boom and his career defining “The Circle Game” which introduced Joni Mitchell’s songwriting to the World.”  DON WILCOCK, THE RECORD
Tom Rush is a gifted musician and performer, whose shows offer a musical celebration…a journey into the tradition and spectrum of what music has been, can be, and will become. His distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world. His shows are filled with the rib-aching laughter of terrific storytelling, the sweet melancholy of ballads and the passion of gritty blues.
Folk, blues musician, singer-songwriter and environmental activist, he is credited by Rolling Stone for “ushering in the era of the singer-songwriter.”
His voice has grown even richer and more melodic and his music, like a fine wine, has matured and ripened in the blending of traditional and modern influences. Still writing and recording, he’s doing what he loves, and what audiences love him for: writing and playing …passionately, tenderly…knitting together the musical traditions and talents of our times.
Internationally touring singer/songwriter Matt Nakoa recently appeared at The White House, throughout India, and tours regularly with folk icon Tom Rush.
Berkeley grad and winner of Kerrville Folk Festival’s prestigious New Folk Competition and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival's Best New Artist, he is musically difficult to pin down. He has released two album, and has found himself thriving in the acoustic/folk/independent music world.  "Matt Nakoa is a musical adept, one of those well kept secrets you just can’t help but
celebrate: intimate and genuine, soulful and bittersweet, a rich poetic songbook sung in praise to a complicated, emotionally present world"   -
