Wings (1927) - Trailer

WINGS (1927)
Starring Clara Bow and featuring a young Gary Cooper, the winner of the very 1st Academy Award for Best Picture was not only released during Proctors’ first full year of operation, but also during the year that the most beloved man in America, Charles Lindberg, flew into the brand new Schenectady County Airport in his famed Spirit of St. Louis.  What better way to celebrate both events than with a screening of WINGS, a magnificent film in which two young men from different class backgrounds (Charles "Buddy" Rogers and Richard Arlen) fall in love with the same woman (Bow).  After the US enters WWI, both men join the Air Corps and become ace flyers, but their shared love for this one woman tears at their friendship.  Rated PG-13 for war violence.  144 minutes.  SILENT w/Live accompaniment by Avery Tunningley on “Goldie”, Proctors mighty Wurlitzer Organ.
