Kevin McGuire

Kevin has played lead roles on Broadway, National and International tours of Les MiserablesThe Phantom of the OperaJane Eyre and starred as Uncle Archie in The National Company of The Secret Garden, traveling 80,000 miles to 69 cities all over the world. The production received nods from Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson, Washington’s Helen Hayes, Los Angeles Drama Critics and Carbonell awards. Other New York credits include original cast of Forbidden Broadway ,and John B. Keane’s Big Maggie, Horatio in Hamlet at the Classic Stage Company, The Seagull, Paul Selig’s Body Parts, Gerald Gutierrez’s production of Much Ado About NothingA Midsummer Night’s Dream, Mark Lamos’ The Gilded Age, and Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet on tour for The New York Shakespeare Festival. Regional credits include, Hartford Stage Company, Arizona Theatre Company, Theatre Factory St. Louis as George in Sunday in the Park with George (Drama Critics Award), three summers at The Williamstown Theatre Festival appearing in over thirty productions, and on tour for two seasons with the highly acclaimed John Houseman’s The Acting Company.

As the Artistic Director of The Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall, he has directed, Saint Joan, The Cherry Orchard, As You Like It, The Heiress, Peter Pan, Hamlet, Sweeney Todd, A Man For All Seasons, Alice In Wonderland, The Seagull, Henry’s House, The Lion In Winter, Androcles And The Lion, Philadelphia, Here I Come! The Time of Your Life, The Crucible, The Enchanted, He Who Gets Slapped!, The Three Sisters, Private Lives, Playboy of the Western WorldThe Real Thing, 12th Night, The Miser, Man Of La Mancha, Heartbreak House, The Elephant Man, Two Gentlemen of Verona

As the Artistic Director of the New Play Festival, Kevin directed the World Premiere of “General Desdemona” by Eagan Reich, while producing “110 Flights” by Nahal Navidar and “Battles of the Bands” by Kevin Dobies.

Kevin Played Jamie Tyrone in” Long Days Journey Into Night and Henry Higgins In “Pygmalion” directed by Derek Campbell and Vanya in “Uncle Vanya” and Andrei in “After Play” directed by Daisy Walker. Last winter he directed a workshop production of a new musical Perfect Love written by Alfred Heller and Karen Cotrell in New York and was on the faculty of The Circle in the Square Theatre School. Television and Film credits are the daytime soap Search For Tomorrow, NBC’s Midnight Caller, and  A Map Of The World directed by Scott Elliott starring Julianne Moore. 

Mr. McGuire has done four sold-out performances in Columbus, Ohio of Music of the Night and Broadway and Beyond!
