Proctors winefest returning Feb. 11-12

Capital Region Wine Festival at Proctors: Romancing the Grape returns to the Schenectady theater complex on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11 and 12.

It begins with a gala reception on the Proctors stage on Friday evening with reserve wines, hors d’oeuvres and jazz by Sonny & Perley. Admission to the reception is $40, or $75 for the reception and dinner at one of the restaurants participating in the festival’s dinners: Apertivo Bistro, Bangkok Bistro and Cella Bistro, all in Schenectady, Water’s Edge Lighthouse in Glenville and Athos in Guilderland. The grand tasting takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday with food and wine samplings, seminars and live and silent auctions. $55 or $25 for designated drivers. Details, tickets here.
