One Night of Queen comes to Proctors Mainstage

Schenectady, NY – The UK’s hottest and most successful rock show, “One Night of Queen” comes to the mainstage at Proctors on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 8pm. The show celebrates the music of Freddie Mercury and Queen.

In 1985, following their appearance on Live Aid, Queen (featuring Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor) were internationally acclaimed as the best live band with Freddie Mercury as the greatest live performer of his generation.

One Night Of Queen features British television talent show `Stars in Their Eyes` winner, Gary Mullen, who bears such an astonishing and accurate resemblance to Freddie Mercury that Brian May himself has endorsed the show, saying it was one of the best tributes he has seen.

In 2000, Gary Mullen won 'Stars In Their Eyes' as Freddie Mercury, polling close to 1 million votes. Since that time he has been selling out theatres and thrilling audiences with his remarkable portrayal of the great man himself.

His 4-piece band, “The Works,” which consists of Gary Mullen – Vocals, Davie Brockett-Guitar, Bill Moffat-Bass, Martin Campbell-Keyboards and Jonathon Evans-Drums. The band reproduces to perfection the sound, the look, and the showmanship of Queen. Songs such as: “We Will Rock You”, “We Are The Champions”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Radio Ga Ga”, “It's A Kind Of Magic” and many more Queen anthems are featured in this astounding 2-hour concert.

One Night of Queen is enhanced with the most spectacular stage set up, stunning costumes and special effects.

Seven years of touring has seen One Night of Queen build a reputation for regularly selling out large theatres and concert halls, across the UK and Europe, and in 2008, they undertake their first tour of the USA.
