The “Russ Sisters” began singing in the early 60’s under the direction of their father, Rev. N.Z. Russ, a Pentecostal preacher.
After being separated for years developing their own individual music careers in different parts of the country, the sisters are together again singing gospel songs. The Russ Sisters’ performances are a mixture of soulful a cappella and melodious tunes, sometimes put to music.
The group’s members are: Margie (the eldest) choir director at Graceway Ministries, Schenectady, NY; Linda (the third eldest sister) who attends Mt. Moriah Ministries, Glenmont, and Aroma (the youngest) who served as lead vocalist, while enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Jazz Band, also performed with her “show band” in Autsin, TX (1986-1996).
“This is our love and we share it; we do it to the glory of God.”
