An unemployed samurai answers a village’s request for protection. As he gathers a team of six to assist him in teaching the villagers to defend themselves, a band of 40 outlaws prepare an attack. This film is legendary for a great many reasons, one of which is that it served as the primary inspiration for Star Wars. Of course, it also stars a legend… Toshirô Mifune!  Japanese w/English subtitles. Not Rated. 207 minutes.
