Film: American Animals

Friday, July 20, 2018 to Thursday, July 26, 2018

Incorporating interviews with the actual students, their teachers, parents and others, AMERICAN ANIMALS provides a fascinating look at how four young friends came to believe it a good idea to attempt to steal the rarest and most valuable portfolios and books (originals by John James Audubon and Charles Darwin!) from a locked room inside a local university library.  Or did they?  As one of the most audacious art heists in U.S. history unfolded, the young men began to question whether this attempt to inject excitement and purpose into their lives might be misguided, yet not a one of them dared  be the one to slam his foot on the brakes.  116 minutes.  Rated R for language throughout, some drug use and brief crude/sexual material.
