ICFS presents
A CINEMA OTHER double-feature of Films from the American Genre Film Archive

The legendary Rudy Ray Moore is Dolemite, a nightclub owner serving 20 years in prison after having been set up by his rival, Willie Green.  One day, his friend and associate, the streetwise Queen Bee, helps him get out of jail, so that she – and her team of lady kung fu fighters – can help him exact revenge on the villainous Green.  D’Urville Martin (Black Caesar; Rosemary’s Baby; Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner) not only portrays Willie Green, but also directs this outrageously over-the-top comedy.  Rated R.  90 minutes.

Sweet Sugar
Rough and tumble hard-luck gal, Sugar, gets set up by a corrupt politician. Convinced of the futility of appealing her case to the courts, she agrees to work on a plantation for two years, rather than be cooped up in a cell. The plantation, however, turns out to be run by the notorious Dr. John, a disgraced medical practitioner known for subjecting others to unethical experiments. Sugar has but one choice. She must not only save herself, but also others who are at risk. Rated R. 90 minutes.

As with other ICFS events, expect prizes, surprises, comfy couches and absolutely ridiculous drink specials!
