KING COHEN: THE WILD WORLD OF FILMMAKER LARRY COHEN

This documentary looks at the acclaimed and eclectic career of maverick filmmaker, Larry Cohen. Credited in the ‘60s as the Creator of TV’s The Invaders, Branded and others, Cohen went on to direct (and also often write) fan and critical faves It’s Alive!, Black Caesar, The Stuff, Hell Up in Harlem, Q: The Winged Serpent, The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover. and so many, many more. Interviewees – in addition to Cohen himself – include Martin Scorsese, J.J. Abrams, Joe Dante, Fred Williamson, John Landis, Robert Forster, Traci Lords, Yaphet Kotto, Rick Baker, Michael Moriarty and a host of others. As with other ICFS events, expect prizes, surprises, comfy couches and wonderfully fun drink specials! Not rated. 110 minutes.

Following the screening, director Steve Mitchell, producer Matt Verboys, and composer Joe Kraemer (who is from Albany and scored such films as JACK REACHER and M:I ROGUE NATION) will participate in a live Q&A via SKYPE.
