Film: Let the Corpses Tan

Tuesday, September 18, 2018

ICFS presents a very special CINEMA OTHER presentation!

“Meticulously executed, obsessively stylized. You almost expect to see Dario Argento or Mario Bava’s name on the credits and for Morricone to have composed the music.”
– Allan Hunter, Screen International

“Beautiful, experimental and bold. One of the most exciting cinematic experiences I’ve had in quite some time. I couldn’t look away for fear of missing yet another thing I’d never witnessed before.”
– Evan Saathoff, Birth.Movies.Death.

After stealing a load of gold bars, a grizzled thug and his gang abscond to the ruins of a remote village perched on the idyllic cliffs of the Mediterranean. Home to a reclusive yet hypersexual artist and her peculiar cadre of lovers, servants and family, the retreat seems like a perfect hideout until two cops roll up on their motorcycles. The quiet hamlet then rapidly erupts into a hallucinatory battlefield as an all-day, all-night firefight ensues, rife with double-crosses and dripping with blood.

Featuring music by Ennio Morricone, LET THE CORPSES TAN is a deliriously stylish, cinematic fever dream that will slamfire your senses like buckshot to the brain. Directors Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani are the couple who previously delighted awestruck audiences with the erotic AMER and exquisite SECRET OF YOUR BODY’S TEARS. Not Rated. 90 minutes.

As with other ICFS events, expect prizes, surprises, comfy couches and absolutely dazzling drink specials!
