ICFS presents
MAGIC
(1978)

Making Gene Siskel’s list of Ten Best Films of its year, a young Anthony Hopkins stars as

Corky, a schizophrenic ventriloquist who fears his abrasive dummy, Fats, may be developing an exceedingly vicious mind of his own. Offered a big city TV show, Corky flees to his hometown in upstate New York in order to avoid having to take a required mental health exam. He reunites there with an old high school flame (Ann-Margret), but fears for her safety when Fats takes an intensive dislike of this relationship. Based on the best-selling novel by William Goldman (Marathon Man; The Princess Bride) and directed by Sir Richard Attenborough (A Bridge Too Far; Gandhi), Magic also stars Burgess Meredith and David Ogden Stiers. Rated R. 107 minutes.
