PB&J Cafe: The Stinky Cheese Man

Friday, March 27, 2020 to Saturday, March 28, 2020
PB & J Café at Proctors GE Theatre and UPH
THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID FAIRY TALES
by John Glore.

PB & J Café at Proctors gives young theatre-goers the opportunity to order a meal, participate in an art activity, dine during the live performance and come home with autographs from their favorite actors—just like mom and dad. PB & J Café was developed by Adirondack Theatre Festival and will be presented in partnership with ATF and Union College’s Theatre Department. The show, THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES, is based on the book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, with the play adapted by John Glore.

Though the characters may be familiar, each of your favorite storybook fables is uproariously derailed in this adaptation of Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith’s quintessential children’s book of fractured fairy tales. Everything from “Chicken Little” to “The Gingerbread Man” gets a complete makeover. Fun music and witty narration accompany the likes of ineloquent giants, sassy barnyard animals, colossal cow pies and enough stinky cheese to go around.
