Tom Petty “An American Boy”: A Selected Retrospective

Tom Petty’s recording career spans 41 years but as the leader of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and as a solo artist Petty’s ability to connect with other musicians and stay true to his vision is often underappreciated. We’ll listen to a “Selected Retrospective”, filled with Tom Petty’s music, on a state of the art sound system. We’ll also take a look back at many of the artists who, like Tom Petty, departed the planet in 2017.

A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is a multi-media event meant to inform and deepen our understanding and history of the individual performers, songs and stories that went into the making of iconic albums. Each Rochmon Record Club Listening Party includes over 350 images and the playing of the entire, original, album. In addition to the music itself we check out the lyrics, talk about sales and awards and take a look at the album’s cover.
