The Eighth Step presents Kim & Reggie Harris and Magpie

with Special Guest ADE KNOWLES
Opening: Pokingbrook Morris Dancers (the ancient midwinter Abbots Bromley Horn Dance)

Tonight on Winter Solstice, the darkest night of the year, come gather with KIM & REGGIE HARRIS and TERRY LEONINO & GREG ARTZNER (Magpie). It’s a bright, warm and wonderful musical celebration of the Season of Light that brings Christmas, Kwaanza, Hannukuh, Yule, and Winter celebrations around the globe. We’ll welcome the gradual lengthening of days that begins with the dawning of December 22nd!

The talented foursome create a transcendent sound with stunning harmonies and instrumentals, alternately powerful, touching, funny and charming. From Greg’s bawdy Celtic drinking songs to Kim’s “S-o-l-a-r Power,” from Terry’s rocking harmonica to Reggie’s haunting guitar, the foursome draws the audience into their circle of warmth.

Add the ancient mystical Morris dance opening the show (POKINGBROOK MORRIS DANCERS) in colorful costumes and bells, marking the beginning of another year’s rotation around the sun.

Come for laughs, dancing, harmonies…light! We’ll chase away the darkness for a new year of peace.
