Film: The Bookshop

Friday, October 05, 2018 to Thursday, October 11, 2018

Free-spirited widow, Florence Green (Emily Mortimer), puts grief behind her and risks everything to open up the very first bookshop inside the sleepy English seaside town of Hardborough. This mini social revolution soon brings her fierce enemies, including the hostility of the town’s less prosperous shopkeepers, and worse, Mrs. Violet Gamart (Patricia Clarkson), the town’s vengeful, embittered alpha female, a wannabe doyenne of the local arts scene.  Also starring Bill Nighy.  Rated PG for some thematic elements, language, and brief smoking. 113 minutes.
