The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark
presented by Will Kempe’s Players

We all know the Hamlet stories—the scholarly prince tasked with avenging his father’s murder, Denmark threatened by Norwegian invasion, the Polonius family casually annihilated. The Will Kempe Players production returns us to Hamlet’s essentials stories — grizzly tales of betrayal, passion, intellect, and murder enacted for a surrounding audience.

And once the alienating “whiz-bang” is gone, Hamlet’s tragedy is breathtakingly human and even contemporary.. Whose word—and words—can we trust? What do we do when everything we thought we knew is proven to be wrong? How do we know whom to trust after we are betrayed?

Revisit Hamlet—and the conundra of human existence—with us this summer.

This performance comes to life in the GE theatre thanks to the area’s premiere professional original practices touring Shakespeare company Will Kempe’s Players.
